Trail Overview

This is 2 miles of intermediate ATV trail through the Prescott National Forest. The north end departs from Anderson Trail #55, and it starts weaving through scrub oak and juniper trees. The trail starts out as mostly smooth dirt with intermittent bigger rocks and boulders in the trail. It weaves tightly through the bushes, feeling a bit tight and overgrown at times. The trail surface is beat up from the cattle, making the dirt really chunky in spots as well. It crosses a small stream and keeps climbing up the hillside with a couple of tighter switchbacks. The trail gets a bit steeper after the switchbacks and keeps climbing until it meets up with Dillon Field Road.

Difficulty

Although narrow at times, this trail seems to be wide enough to accommodate 50-inch vehicles, but it will be an intermediate challenge with several embedded boulders and moderate switchbacks. It does not seem to have as much loose cobbly rock as some of the surrounding trails, making it still an intermediate difficulty, but more approachable than many of the surrounding rocky trails.
