You'll enjoy beautiful views of the canyons below and desert flowers at seasonal times add color to the landscape. The trail includes one very steep hill that's a 100-foot climb with rocks and sand, creating a significant challenge. Once you reach the plateau at the top, you're rewarded with great views of the surrounding mountains spreading out in all directions. The route runs along a shelf road with off-camber and rutted sections that demand attention as you navigate the elevated terrain.
Difficulty
The very steep 100+ foot hill climb with rocks and sand is the main technical challenge on this trail, requiring good momentum, skilled line choice, and possibly a spotter. The shelf road sections with off-camber terrain and ruts add to the difficulty and require careful navigation. The washboards throughout will test your suspension. Four Wheel Drive and high clearance are essential for this more challenging route.
