Trail Overview
While this trail is designated for ATVs and dirt bikes, it doesn’t look commonly used by ATVs, and has narrowed over time to more closely resemble a single track. It has become narrow between the scrub oak and sumac bushes, and would likely feel too tight for ATVs. It’s a short connector trail between Forest Service Road 705 and 21, only about half a mile long. It’s a fun short route for dirt bikers with minimal rock compared to the very advanced nearby Trails 8 and 21. It climbs over 250 feet over the half mile, mostly on a semi-steep, but manageable, slope. There are still some rocks, mostly small embedded rocks, covering the trail surface, but no major ledges or obstacles. It goes through an old burn area, so there is a potential for new log hazards.
Difficulty
This is an easier trail due to the lack of any major obstacles, but the trail is narrow for ATVs, and is more ideal for dirt bikes. It is mostly gradual and manageable for less experienced dirt bikers.
