Trail Overview

This is a very nice trail that connects the Camp Creek Wash to Bartlett Lake Road and has very interesting geological features along the way. There is a gentle climb to start, with some amazing old-growth saguaro cacti along the way. Once you get to the mid-point, there is a rocky climb to a ridge top, which has great 360-degree views of the entire area. This is a trail that is enjoyable for the whole family and provides a few moderately-difficult challenges along the way.

Difficulty

This trail is passable by any SxS or Jeep, but it does present some loose rock climbs that require extra ground clearance. There are some ruts that you need to pay attention to along the way, and some narrow sections with Palo Verde trees that can scratch paint.

Great fun trail through the wash lots of flex in the first section. When you get in the wash it’s very few overgrown spots but not many watch for oncoming traffic some tight corners you can’t see oncoming. Couple of spots of off camber fun.

Fun trail, run in a stock 2012 Rubicon on 32s from south to north. Expect pinstriping in anything wider that a SxS. Turned on the rear locker once as a precaution while climbing a steep, rutted and rocky incline about half way through. The descent heading south to north is steep and very rocky and loose, and I caught the front diff just slightly heading down. The entrance (or exit) off Bartlett Lake Rd has a washed out gouge cutting across the trail which served as a fun little goodbye obstacle that I turned around and ran again just for fun.

Just a wash trail between the mountains for the most part. Traveled North to South, has a pretty big hill to climb, used rear locker as it was steep and loose. Then you go along the Ridgeline for a bit before descending slowly back into the wash. Definitely some better trails out there.

Steep climb and even steeper decent on the last part third of the trail. Lots of fun!
