Trail Overview

Part 2 starts off fun and gives you a reward with some off-camber and hills. Although there is nothing a good 4x4 and friends can't handle. Along the way, you will come across the old camp that the old settlers used when using the overland trail. You will also come across a BLM cattle and wildlife watering hole.

The trail is off-camber, with sand washes and rocks that will need high clearance to pass.

This is a great two track with the Butterfield Pass portion of the trail being particularly scenic. We followed BLM 8003 heading west to its terminus, and then turned south to get to Maricopa Road (paved). This trail definitely does not rate a 4 by OnX standards. I would most likely rate it a 2 (maybe between 2&3 tops). A few narrow spots add pinstripes to full size vehicles and a few sandy spots. I was able to complete in 2wd in our Jeep without issues.
