Group of 6 4x4 vehicles. Some lifted with lockers, some stock height with 33s. Went from Usery Pass entrance on Ellsworth to gate in north AJ. There are some steep and rutted sections once we headed south. Tons of loose large rocks that consistently bounce you around. Took about 5 hrs including vehicle issues, bathroom breaks, pictures.

Rough/Deteriorated
We came in from the main staging area off East Mcdowell Blvd. The trail was extremely rocky and washed out from FDR 1356 to the FDR 3554 (Usery entrance) . Extremely scenic but too may rocks to be able to look around and enjoy it. Too rough my younger kids. Some technical uphill/downhill section but nothing to difficult. The trail was much smoother from the FDR 3554 turn off to Bush Highway. Thinking the Usery entrance to Bush Highway is the way to go for smoother ride for younger kids or if you are looking to open the throttle up a bit.

Drove jeep 13 miles from Bush Hwy to SR88. Weather beautiful, few others on trail. Wildflowers starting to bloom lots of green. Trail was rocky and some steep areas partially deteriorated and very rocky but passable with mild lift and 35’s aired down. Took about 4 hours taking our time with a lunch stop. Good fun!
