Trail Overview
FS 9222C is a scenic, high-clearance dirt trail with a few loose gravel and small rock sections. Several steep hills are encountered along the route, some containing minor ruts, making 4WD recommended for the climbs. LTE & 2bar ATT service. The trail is surrounded by creosote and sagebrush and offers dispersed camping opportunities throughout the area. It follows a ridgeline overlooking the Tuscumbia Mountains, providing beautiful green desert landscapes and expansive views. The trail was traveled from west to east. A few sections are off-camber, and multiple washouts are present, though none are technical or require obstacle negotiation. As the trail descends into the valley on the east side, drivers should remain mindful of wheel placement and oncoming traffic. There are a few narrow stretches that may cause pinstriping, but the trail remains passable for full-width vehicles.
This is a fun and scenic two-track with excellent views.
