Trail Overview

Trail starts just off Road 72, 2.4 miles south of Palace Station. At just .3 miles in, you will find the ruins of the Bodie Mine with a little exploring. After that, you encounter several rocky, rutted hill climbs with scenic views of Crooks Canyon at the top. The trail then meanders through Johnson Flat before descending towards Pole Camp Canyon. Keep your eyes open for majestic Battleship Butte after about 7 miles in.

Difficulty

This trail has some decent climbs that are rocky with deep ruts. Extra care should be taken with correct wheel placement to avoid rollovers.
