Trail Overview

This is a new segment of ATV trail that starts off of Corral Road, and enters a Ponderosa Pine tree forest, with widely separated trees and dry terrain. The north end starts out as a wide and smooth trail. It leaves the pine trees and enters a more open hillside full of manzanita bushes and scrub oak, riding past a scenic rock outcropping. The trail narrows up between the bushes – it’s just wide enough for a 50-inch ATV, but looks mostly tracked by dirt bikers, so the trail itself between the bushes is narrower. Most of the trail stays pretty easy, but there are a few short sections where there are piles of loose rocks. However, it’s mostly flowy, weaving between the bushes on a smooth path. The trail goes through a burn area, and through a cattle fence, and enters another forested section of ponderosa. There were a couple of downed logs that were cut to dirt bike width, so ATVs would need to plan to cut back a couple of small logs in order to get through. It ends after about 2.5 miles on a Forest Service road that connects to 95C.

Difficulty

This is one of the more flowy and easier trails in the system in Prescott National Forest. Although designed for ATVs, it looks mostly trafficked by dirt bikes. It will feel a bit narrow for ATVs at times, but it is probably passable by ATVs, other than a few downed logs that need to be cut back. There are a couple of loose rocky climbs, but it’s mostly smooth and easy.
