This is a short trail through the Red Spring Pass trail system. It starts and ends off of Sardina Canyon Road (684), paralleling the main road as it winds through a rocky desert terrain full of mesquite trees and ocotillos. The middle of the trail rides over the “moonscape,” which is an area of lighter colored slab rocks with short ledges and drop-offs that add some minor difficulty, but most of the rock layers are ramped and not too difficult to ride over. The trail becomes fainter in this area, but there are frequent trail posts in the rock to help guide the route. It’s a unique area compared to the rest of the trail system. As it continues west, the trail climbs in and out of little rocky washes, with constant small softball-sized rocks that can ping you around. The trail crosses a wash road and climbs up the next hillside, and it looks like riders might miss this last segment of trail and stay in the wash because it becomes more primitive as it parallels the elevated above the wash. There is a moderate rock obstacle in this last segment that is a short rock ledge, but it is moderate because it is during a narrow side-hilling segment of the trail. The trail winds down to the wash and ends.
