Forest Road 417 is a one-lane rocky trail pocked by erosion and water damage. This trail has rock wash crossings that may prove challenging or even dangerous during monsoon season, as evidence of flash floods is present. This trail runs East/West along the Northern edge of this section of the Coconino National Forest. There are multiple trails that lead to this trail, and this area is popular with hunters. Along this trail, you might see elk, antelope, and deer, as well as other species of wildlife. There are no major obstacles along this trail, but there is also no cell service, so offline maps are recommended. The views along this trail are amazing, with the North side bordering pasture and grassland, as well as some Arizona State Land Trust Land.
