Trail 28002 is a point-to-point trail that begins at the intersection with Trail 28001. Both directions eventually dead-end at Bureau of Reclamation land with no additional access points, making this an out-and-back route. The trail offers plenty of space to turn around at both ends. Expect a fun but engaging drive with large ruts, washouts, and several off-camber sections. It’s an enjoyable trail, but watch your speed, as some of the deeper ruts can appear quickly. One end of the trail has a gate that has been blocked off before reaching the actual end, preventing access all the way to the end of the trail. 2WD or 4WD with high clearance recommended.
