Trail Overview

Carrera de la Linea de la Torre, also known as Towerline Run, is a dynamic off-road trail that stretches just over two miles alongside the massive power towers cutting through the Baja desert. This route is a blend of flowing speed and technical finesse, following the Baja 250 race line between Virtual Check Points 20 to 22. Expect consistent whoops and uneven terrain shaped by race traffic and local use, making it a favorite among off-roaders seeking a fast-paced challenge. The trail opens with a fast, high-speed straightaway where experienced drivers can push their rigs--if they're prepared to handle the sudden rhythm of deep whoops that follow. The route is heavily trafficked, so conditions can vary quickly, and ruts or washouts may be present. All along the ride, you'll be treated to wide-open views of the surrounding Baja mountains, and as you head toward San Felipe, the shimmering Sea of Cortez appears on the horizon, creating a picture-perfect finale to this desert sprint.

Difficulty

While not highly technical, Towerline Run presents moderate challenges due to the relentless whoops, uneven terrain, and the potential for heavily rutted sections from frequent use. The fast pace requires a well-tuned suspension, and the sand can get soft in places, especially during hotter months. Ideal for intermediate drivers with a capable 4WD vehicle. Aired down tires and a solid suspension setup are highly recommended for a smoother ride. Not recommended for low-clearance or stock vehicles due to the consistent pounding of the terrain.
