Trail Overview
This scenic loop begins and ends on different sections of the trail known as 2 de Abril, intersecting with Middle Road before looping back to its starting point. Entering from the southern end, you'll pass a small church and immediately encounter a short, rocky climb along a mild shelf road. From there, the trail transitions into a mostly straight path that alternates between sandy stretches and rough, chunky terrain. After a sharp 90-degree right turn, the road continues straight for a couple of miles before reaching a section covered in baseball-sized rocks, which lasts for about a mile. The trail then smooths out into a soft track that winds through beautiful desert scenery, featuring towering cardon cacti and a diverse mix of native vegetation offering a rewarding and picturesque finish.
Difficulty
While this trail does require mindful wheel placement during its rocky and moderately steep climb, most vehicles with good ground clearance should be able to navigate it without needing to engage four-wheel drive.
