Trail Overview
This off-road route begins off Santa Rita Road, leading travelers on a scenic dirt path through the landscapes of Baja California Sur. The initial stretch is relatively smooth, featuring gentle inclines and declines that any 2WD vehicle with good ground clearance can easily handle. As the trail meanders through a mix of ranchlands and dry arroyos, it passes through the small town of El Chorro, located near the well-known hot springs of the same name. Beyond the town, a right-hand turn leads past a modest cemetery before the terrain transitions into a sandy section. Despite the looser surface, the road remains navigable for most vehicles, as it is a commonly traveled route. The journey concludes at Rancho Vinorama Campestre y Actividades, a working ranch where visitors are greeted by a variety of farm animals, offering a glimpse into traditional Baja ranch life.
Difficulty
This road is easily navigable by any 2WD vehicle; however, drivers should exercise caution in the final sandy section near the ranch. While most vehicles can traverse this stretch without issue, smaller 2WD vehicles may struggle if they drift into deeper sand along the edges.
