Trail Overview

This is a gravel-based Forest Service road that transitions to a rock garden base. The trail climbs over 900 feet in elevation and is supposed to lead to Wilson Lake, but there is a large washout. The washout has boulders 2 feet in diameter blocking the trail, and there is a narrow path with a steep drop-off that it appears some Powersport vehicles have still been taking, but it was too much to try solo in a high-clearance 4x4. There are several humps/whoops you must navigate and loose rock climbs. You will have views of the ridges around you, and as you climb, you will get dense forest views. Camping is available along this trail with several pre-existing campsites; however, there are no amenities or cell phone service on the trail. This trail will require a high-clearance 4x4.
