Trail Overview
This is a narrow, one-lane, gravel-based FSR that leads to Lookout Lake. The trail has minor ruts and wash, some loose rock climbs, a small rock step, and a mud hole near the lake at the end that is approximately a foot and a half deep. There are places to pass, but in some places the trail has a ledge and no room to pass as it climbs over 1,100 feet in elevation. The trail passes an old excavator that has been forgotten and overgrown in the shrubs near the top of the climb. You will have good views of the ridges and peaks around you, and dense forest views at times once nearing the lake where the trail flattens out. There is a campsite at the lake at the end of the trail, and most vehicle types will have no issues on the trail; however, a high-clearance 4x4 is recommended for the mud hole. There are no amenities or cell phone service on this trail.
