West Kalum Forest Service Road

Trail Overview

The West Kalum Forest Service road is an easy gravel road that gives you access to many spur roads and camp sites. The road itself can be covered in potholes and is prone to washouts. At the start of the road is a gas station with a carwash. There are 3 free BC Rec Sites, Pine Lake, this site also includes a nice 5km hike. Red Sand Lake, which is the largest and most popular. and finally Hart Farm. All have access to lakes and are well maintained. This road is mostly available all year, but the last portion may not be maintained in deep snow.
