Upper Lakit Ridge

This out-and-back trail follows a winding route along a lightly wooded ridge. The relatively open forest provides excellent views west across the valleys and east toward the surrounding mountain range. The trail twists and turns along the ridge, with numerous small side trails branching off toward likely campsites and viewpoints. Additional random campsites are scattered along the main route. These areas can make worthwhile stopping points. The ridge is especially scenic in autumn, when the changing foliage adds vibrant color to the landscape. Overall, the route is relatively easy. Drivers will encounter a few bumpy, rocky sections and occasional ruts, but there are no major obstacles under normal dry conditions.
