Trail Overview

The Trapper Mainline is a maintained gravel road that services a repeater station on Trapper Mountain. The road is a single-lane gravel road, full of loose rocks and ruts. Most All Wheel Drive vehicles should have little difficulty with this route, but some clearance will be helpful, as erosion has washed away some of the smaller rocks, leaving some larger rocks. Once out of the trees, you will be treated to Alpine views and lakes. This area is very popular with snowmobiles, and there is a cabin at the top. Paddleboarders also frequent the lakes. There are a few wild camp locations up here, but it can get windy.

Difficulty

This narrow rocky road is maintained but remains uneven. As an alpine route, snow can linger into late spring and even summer, so conditions may vary with the season.
