Difficulty
The road to Jones Lake is a typical Forest Service Road (FSR). Around the 8km mark, near a cluster of A-frame cabins, you'll encounter a stretch of massive, deep potholes that extend for 2-3 km. This section requires careful navigation and will slow your pace to a bumpy crawl. While the road can be rough, a small car can make the trip if driven slowly and carefully. Once you get through this challenging section, the road smooths out, making the final approach to Jones Lake much more comfortable.
