Point to Point
The route to Wild Horse Peak is short but tricky. The trail begins with a steep ascent through sand. After the sand, the trail is marked with cairns but the stretch just past the sand crosses a few patches of small round rocks that are like hiking on ball bearings. After most of the vertical is achieved by the halfway point, it is easy going along a ridge to Wild Horse Peak (3258 ft).
