Andy’s Trail begins near the main parking area within Betty and Wilbur Davis State Park, just south of Westford. The route meanders through mixed hardwood forest on well-marked paths that form a short loop. From the trailhead, follow gentle grades through stands of maple and beech, passing several interpretive signs that highlight the park’s natural and cultural history. The tread is smooth and wide enough for easy walking, making it suitable for families and casual hikers.
Wildlife sightings are common, with deer, songbirds, and small mammals frequently seen along the route. In spring and fall, the trail may be muddy in shaded sections, and ticks can be present in tall grass. During winter, the route remains open for snowshoeing or walking with traction aids. The loop returns to the same parking area, offering a peaceful, low-traffic option for an easy walk in central New York’s rolling hill country.
