This route begins at the Victoria Trailhead on State Game Lands Number 211, just off PA Route 325. From the trailhead, follow Victoria Trail north as it crosses the Appalachian Trail and climbs over Peters Mountain into the heart of Joseph E. Ibberson Conservation Area. About halfway through the route, the trail passes the conservation area’s main trailhead on the right and transitions onto the Evergreen Trail. The path continues through mature hardwood forest before merging into the Whitetail Trail. From here, the route climbs back over Peters Mountain along a wooded ridge with uneven tread and occasional rocky sections. After the crest, the trail descends gently and reconnects with Victoria Trail. Turn right and follow it south to return to the starting point.
This route features a mix of easy and moderate terrain with steady elevation changes and forested scenery throughout. Deer, turkey, and migratory songbirds are commonly seen along the route. The trail is open year-round, with cross-country skiing possible in winter. Connector trails like Old Sawmill and Turkey Foot intersect this corridor but are not part of the main route. Expect limited cell service and no reliable water sources. The highlight of the hike is the peaceful ridge traverse over Peters Mountain.
