The Little Falls Trail begins at a parking area on Lower Lake Road, directly across from the dam at Lower Lake. From the trailhead, head into the forest and follow the path alongside the East Branch Wallenpaupack Creek. The route closely parallels the creek through mossy woods, crossing over roots and rock slabs, with several small cascades visible early on. Continue upstream to reach Little Falls—a scenic eight- to ten-foot waterfall that tumbles over a rock ledge. A footbridge just beyond the falls allows hikers to cross the creek and return along the opposite bank, completing the route.
The terrain remains mostly gentle throughout, though footing can be uneven in places due to roots and rocks. Conditions may be muddy after rainfall, so sturdy shoes are recommended. The trail is well-marked with blue blazes and open to leashed dogs. Open year-round, this easy route is one of the most accessible day hikes in Promised Land State Park and a great option for short forest hikes in northeastern Pennsylvania.
