Loop
From the parking area across from Old Greentown Road on PA‑390 in Delaware State Forest, this route begins on Egypt Meadow Trail, heading east through a mixed hardwood forest. Stay left at the first junction to trace the northern and eastern shores of Egypt Meadow Lake, passing through low-lying wetlands and occasional boggy stretches. Continue for a short distance until reaching the junction with Bruce Lake Trail, then turn left to follow an old road bed to the shoreline of Bruce Lake — a spring-fed, glacial lake with undeveloped banks and potential bird activity.
After passing the lake on its eastern side, the trail bends south through forested terrain. Turn right onto Rock Oak Ridge Trail, which climbs gradually through wooded ridges before merging into Brown Trail. Follow this section until it intersects Bruce Lake Trail again, then turn right briefly before making a left onto Panther Swamp Trail. This final segment winds through damp forest and marsh habitat, eventually reconnecting with Egypt Meadow Trail and returning to the parking area. This scenic route through the Pocono Mountains combines lakeside walking with remote forest terrain and rewarding views along the shore of Bruce Lake.
