Telephone Line Trail

This is one of the shortest routes up to the summit of Mt. Toby from Reservation Road in Sunderland. The trail is clear and mostly obvious, but poorly marked. To reach the summit via Telephone Line Trail and cut between Tower Road and Robert Frost Trail, hike 0.68 miles on Tower Road from the parking area on Reservation Road. Stay to the right to follow the Telephone Line Trail towards Robert Frost Trail and Upper Link Trail. It is 0.52 miles on Telephone Line Trail until the split with Robert Frost Trail and Upper Link Trail. Stay to the right and follow Robert Frost Trail towards Mt. Toby summit. From here, it is 0.46 miles to the summit and fire tower
