This route start from the parking area on Meetinghouse Road on lands jointly managed by the towns of Pelham and Amherst. Head west into the woods, passing the first junction and staying right at the Y-intersection to continue on the main trail. The route follows gentle terrain through a mix of hardwoods and hemlock stands, with several minor junctions branching off—stay on the most well-traveled path as it descends toward the confluence of Buffam Brook and Amethyst Brook. The confluence features a series of small waterfalls and rocky cascades tucked in a quiet ravine.
After enjoying the falls, retrace your steps back toward the trailhead. An optional spur leads to a small reservoir for those looking to extend the hike. The trail can be muddy in spring and slippery at brook crossings, especially during wet conditions, and signage may be inconsistent—bringing a map or GPS is recommended. This is a short, peaceful route best enjoyed in the spring or early fall when water flow and foliage are at their peak.
