Foundation Trail

This is a moderately trafficked paved loop trail that runs around the city of Black River Falls. Start at the Chamber of Commerce, where there is a parking lot and a small park. Following the signs for the Foundation Trail, cross Town Creek and run down Water Street. The trail splits from the road and follows a flat open section above the Black River. After a brief forested section, the trail runs on Pine View Road and crosses Hwy 54 to Lunda Park. The trail crosses through Lunda Park and joins with 14th Street. It takes a right on Van Buren St and then a left on 11th Street. The trail peels off to the right through a nice forested section that follows Town Creek. There are some steeper sections here but you are going downhill most of the time. Make sure to look for the waterfall after crossing Jefferson Street! The trail finishes where you started-at the chamber of commerce.
