Start at the parking lot off Hwy 95 and take a right onto the Snodgrass Trail, a flat trail through the woods. Careful of the foot bridges-the slats are far apart and are easy to get a foot stuck in them! Snodgrass will take you to the main parking lot. From here, get on the Lower Glen trail for about 1 mile until it ends at the Swamp Cut Trail. Take this to where it ends on the Yellow Jacket Trail, which will run for another 2.5 miles until it ends at the top of a hill with a picnic table and options to connect with other trails in the area.
Lewis/Trow Mound Recreation Area is a gem of a trail system. The trails are well marked and well maintained. They are mostly used for mountain biking, which Trails are never really that crowded. In the winter, trails are open for skiing and fat biking.
