Description
The trail begins at the Sucker Brook Hollow Trailhead on St George Road and climbs steadily through mixed hardwood forest toward the ridgeline above Five Tree Hill. From the trailhead, follow the main path east as it gradually gains elevation. After a short distance, Sucker Brook crosses the trail. The brook is often dry in late summer but flowing in spring or after rain. Continue through a mix of maple and birch forest, with several side trails offering opportunities to extend or shorten the route depending on trail conditions and user preference. As you approach the summit, the grade steepens slightly before leveling off near Five Tree Hill. The summit clearing provides partial views west toward the Green Mountains, particularly striking in fall. Wildlife is commonly spotted in the area, and autumn hikers can expect vibrant foliage throughout the route. Return the same way or create a longer route by linking designated spur trails. This is a quiet, accessible hike best enjoyed from late spring through fall when conditions are dry and foliage is at its peak.
