Description
This is a long trail along Ontario Lake. You can enter it on foot at almost any point if you are on foot are using public transportation. Otherwise, there is some parking along the way. If you want to do the full trail, start at Mimico Waterfront Park and go East. After hiking 2 km, you'll arrive at the entrance of Humber Bay Sailing Club. You can divert from the trail to go see the view at Etobicoke Point or hiking at Humber Bay Park. At the end of the park, there is the Humber Bay Butterfly Habitat you can look up. After 3 km of hike, the Humber River with the Humber Bay Arch Bridge. You'll then follow a series of beaches until you reach Half Moon Bay. You'll then go through a series of parks and public places and arrive to Downtown Toronto on Martin Goodman Trail. There is several parks (Toronto Music Garden, HTO Park, Little Norway Park and Harbour Square Park) you can visit along the way. HTO Beach is a lovely place to sit under an umbrella. Sherbourne Common is the last park before a long series of parking lot until you cross Cherry Street where you can turn left to reach Don Valley Trail. If you want to stay on this trail, turn right on Cherry Street and cross Don River to reach Cherry Beach at the dead of the road. Continue to hike East until you reach Tommy Thompson Park and turn Left on Lesli Streat and follow the bike lane Martin Goodman Trail that you lead you to Lake Shore Blvd that you'll follow. When you arrive at Ashbridges Bay Park. Then hike along the beaches to Silver Birch Dog Park, at the end of the trail.
