The 132 km G2G Rail Trail connects Guelph to the shores of Lake Huron through a green space corridor, which was once the former CPR railway line. The trail is multiple sections connected together that include the Huron Beach Boardwalk, Lake Huron Route, Perth Harvest Pathway, Kissing Bridge Trailway and the Guelph Trailway. The G2G Rail trail is an accessible, naturally and historically significant conservation corridor that supports community recreation and active transportation. The majority of the trail is flat and well groomed, perfect for non-motorized multi-use activities. The trail threads together quaint rural communities that provide a wide array of unique products and services to trail users.
Since the late 1800's these lands have been a transportation corridor. The G2G runs 132 km along the former CPR railway line, which stretches from downtown Guelph to the waters of Lake Huron.
