Loop
The Wilkeson Point Loop begins and ends at Wilkeson Pointe Park, a city-managed waterfront space on Buffalo’s Outer Harbor. This route combines paved paths through the park with segments of the Greenway Nature Trail and side trails along Fuhrmann Boulevard, forming a walkable circuit with minimal elevation change. Starting at the park’s parking area, follow shoreline paths past open lawns, native plantings, and kinetic wind sculptures. After a short distance, join the Greenway Nature Trail heading south, then use sidewalks or bike paths along Fuhrmann Boulevard to loop back.
This multi-use route is accessible year-round and popular for walking, running, and casual bike rides. Highlights include wide-open views of Lake Erie, frequent lake breezes, and excellent sunset vantage points. Wilkeson Pointe also connects to the larger Industrial Heritage Trail system, making it a good starting point for longer urban explorations.
