Loop
The Fox Hill Figure 8 Loop begins at the main trailhead in Fox Hill Park, just outside Kensington, NH. This route follows a figure-eight configuration across a small network of intersecting forest trails. From the start, hikers enter a quiet woodland and follow well-marked paths that wind through hardwood forest, passing meadow openings and occasional seasonal brooks.
The route crosses a few small wooden bridges and skirts open fields with potential views of nearby hills. Wildlife sightings are common—deer, turkeys, and a variety of songbirds frequent the area. Several points along the figure-eight offer a chance to shorten or extend your hike depending on time and conditions. Trails remain wide and flat throughout, with only minimal elevation change. The Meadow Brook Trail runs near a small stream, though water is not reliable or treated. Return the way you came, finishing the loop at the main trailhead. This is an ideal year-round option for quick walks, dog-friendly hikes, or casual day hikes in southern New Hampshire woodlands.
