Description
The Graves Brothers Loop Trail begins at the parking area for Graves Farm Wildlife Sanctuary on Adams Road in Williamsburg, Massachusetts. From the trailhead, follow the sanctuary path through a shaded grove of hemlock and white pine. A short distance in, turn left onto the Nonnie Day Brook segment—use caution at the brook crossing, especially in wet or icy conditions. After crossing the brook, the trail climbs gradually through mixed woods and connects to the Graves Brothers Loop. Here the route enters a more open hardwood forest dominated by oak and beech, before circling back to the trailhead. This quiet route offers a peaceful forest walk with minimal elevation change and is especially suited for birding or a short, immersive hike near the Pioneer Valley. Wildlife sightings are possible, with occasional signs of moose, bear, or bobcat in the area. The sanctuary is open daily from dawn to dusk, but dogs and bikes are not permitted in order to protect local habitat.
