The Norrie Point Trail begins near the Norrie Point Environmental Center and winds through forested terrain along the eastern shore of the Hudson River. From the trailhead, follow the well-marked path as it passes through hardwood stands and tidal marshes. Hikers can choose from several connecting routes to form a short loop or out-and-back hike, all on well-maintained, mostly flat trails suitable for novice hikers and families. Along the way, watch for osprey, herons, and bald eagles soaring over the water or perched near the marsh edge.
The trail provides year-round access, though the best hiking conditions occur from spring through fall, as winter can bring icy patches and high water along the shoreline. There are no potable water sources along the trail, and no camping or fires are allowed within the park. This route offers a quiet, easy-going experience with rewarding views of the Hudson River and abundant birdlife throughout the seasons.
