Trail Overview

This is one trail you don't want to miss. If you're in the area to find epic views of the Grand Tetons and free camp spots, then this trail is for you! The trail is not hard, you can do the whole thing in 2WD. Unless there are heavy rains, in which case you will need 4WD. It's a big climb up the mountain to breathtaking views of the Teton Range.

Very easy and wide enough that 2 vehicles can pass each other in most places. It was very dusty.

Nice trail. Takes about 1.5hrs. A few more technical spots but nothing a stock 4wd vehicle can’t handle.

Beautiful fall colors and amazing views of the Tetons. Drove it in my ‘22 Badlands Bronco with the Sasquatch package with 35” tires. It’s an easy trail that can be done with 2WD. The trail was dry with only one place with water at about 8”-10” deep.

Super sticky and slimy mud as of the day of Wednesday’s rain. Traveling from the south side by the famous cabins and heading up about 3 miles before the slick mud starts. We turned around because my outback was sliding around and flinging mud everywhere. We ended up camping at site 2. Site 2A (the most popular view) is occupied by the Forest Service.
