Trail Overview
This multi-use trail is open to ATVs, Dirt Bikes, and non-motorized users, connecting USFS 501 with the Manzanares Trail. Overall, the route is not highly difficult and should be manageable for most experienced dirt bike and quad riders. The trail includes a small creek crossing along with several steeper climbs where loose soil can make traction more challenging, particularly when conditions are dry. There are also a few sections with embedded rocks that require some attention to line selection and wheel placement, but most of the route is well-established and nicely bedded in. Riders should be prepared to share the trail, as it is also open to hikers, horseback riders, and mountain bikers. Reduced speeds and extra caution are recommended around blind corners, narrow sections, and areas with limited visibility.
Difficulty
This should not be a difficult route for most average ATV or Dirt Bike riders in dry conditions. The section that cuts over to the main trail system does not have any particularly long or sustained steep climbs, although there are a few fairly steep, short pitches with loose dirt. These sections may require a little extra momentum and careful throttle control, but they should be manageable for most riders with reasonable experience.
