Haystack Butte Road - FS 60003

This is a short out-and-back trail that runs from Wyoming Highway 530 east to the shoreline of Flaming Gorge Reservoir. This trail is a well-maintained gravel road that stays two vehicles wide throughout before it dead-ends at a turnaround that is sometimes used as a campsite right on the shoreline of the reservoir. This trail has good views of both the reservoir and the hills to the west as it crosses the flats down to the reservoir. This trail is open to all vehicles and has no seasonal closure date, but may be impassable due to snow during the winter and early spring months.
