Trail Overview

Forestry Road 30051 is located just east of Grand Teton National Park. This is an easy out-and-back trail, mostly dirt with some gravel and occasional medium-sized boulders in the soil. The short trip takes you through beautiful tundra covered with Sage and flowers of every kind. Mule deer and other wildlife can be seen regularly. Only 400' of elevation gain moves you to the top of Baldy Mountain, where you will be met with an incredible view of the Grand Tetons to the west.

Short trail with amazing views at the top. I got lucky that there was nobody else camping there yet and I was able to spend the night. Pretty rutted in some places so higher clearance is helpful. I have a little over 9” and was able to make it with no issues.

It's little rutted in place. A normal car (low clearance would not make it). Need high clearance vehicle.
