Trail Overview
Sunrise Lake Road, FR 2319 navigates from Old 32 Road to its intersection with McCauley Creek Rd, FR 2321. This is a wide, well-maintained forest road that provides access to a large number of trails in this section of the Nicolet National Forest. The trail is wide enough for two vehicles to pass each other at speed. Additionally, the trail has ample clearance on both sides, allowing room to pull off if needed. The trail surface consists of a smooth gravel base, with some sections being looser then other as the sand from underneath the trail works its way to the surface. The trail's terrain, as well as the surrounding terrain, is made up of slow rolling hills. The surrounding scenery is made up of dense forest and areas that are beginning to regrow after recent harvest.
Difficulty
This trail can be completed by all experience levels of riders. The trail is well-maintained by the local towns. Due to the loose gravel, certain parts of the trail can easily push vehicles around during times of extreme drought. In addition, this can also create a considerable amount of dust. The trail has great visibility throughout, as well as semi-maintained ditch lines that could be used to pull off.
