Trail Overview

The Norway Lake Loop is a point-to-point trail that picks up on the eastern end from Porkey Lake Loop. It is primarily a dirt two-track with several sections of rocks and mud sections to cross. Expect a few mud holes, loose rock, and a few moderately steep sections.

History

In 2025, this trail in the Crocker Recreational area was opened to OHV vehicles. It is a multi-use trail, including equestrian.

Good trail but wouldn’t recommend for stock vehicles. Tight turns with some moderate inclines prior to hemlock ridge. Deep standing water crossings at time we used the trail, with gravelly bottom. Norway loop is an old creek bed predominantly at first, so it has a lot of loose gravel, then becomes progressively tighter and more difficult.
