Trail Overview
FS 2267B is a seasonal use trail open from 9-1 to 11-30. This two-track forest road acts as a scenic detour, beginning and ending at FS 2267. The trail has mild difficulty when traveled from either direction but is marginally more difficult when traveled from north to south. This is a tight and overgrown two-track thanks to its limited use; however, it offers some interesting terrain as it navigates along and through a valley in the surrounding topography. This trail has several moderately sized mud holes with a maximum depth of 12 inches, but this is typically less. There is also a moderately washed-out and rocky hill climb, and off-camber sections of the trail. Many portions of the trail are blind to the oncoming terrain and traffic thanks to the overgrown underbrush. Large sections of the trail will also require vehicles to reverse to clearings to safely allow other vehicles to pass. The scenery around this trail is dominated by rolling hills, as well as maturing hardwoods and dense forest floor level brush. Larger vehicles traveling on this trail are likely to get mild scratches from overhanging brush. Cell service in this area is very spotty, and the dense forest canopy can also affect GPS signal. Traveling with downloaded maps is advised.
Difficulty
This is a narrow, dirt two-track trail. Expect small washouts, small mud holes, ruts, debris lying on the trail, and overhanging the trail. Most sections of this trail will require vehicles to reverse to an open section to allow for passage. Sight lines are okay and are likely to be obstructed by brush and undergrowth overhanging the trail.
