Trail Overview

Bonita Road (FS 2112) begins at its intersection with Weso Creek Road and the paved portion of Forest Service Road 2112, and navigates northwest to its intersection with County Highway W. This is a moderately maintained gravel trail that is wide enough for two vehicles for most of its length. This trail has a firm gravel base that provides a very smooth ride. The surrounding terrain is small rolling hills, with remote rock formations that can be seen alongside the trail. Additionally, the trail navigates through mostly mature forests. There is a small amount of forest undergrowth, which helps to keep sightlines through the forest good. Cell service in this area is acceptable for the most part; however, downloaded maps are never a bad idea since the towers in this area can become crowded from summer tourists, leading to slow service. Most forest roads in this area have some amount of snowmobile trail traffic on them in the winter months. It is best to avoid them when there is snow on the ground.
