Trail Overview

This route will take you along the side of the mountain with beautiful views of Appalachia. This trail feels like an East Coast shelf road since it is mainly single track with only a few places to pass oncoming vehicles. This road follows the WV-VA border and is only accessible 10/01-01/15.

Difficulty

This is a single track shelf road for the most part with a few places to pass oncoming traffic. If you're afraid of heights, this may not be the trail for you. Use caution around the road shoulder as it could have soft spots. Cell service is spotty and there are no residential homes on this road. Once you get to the top of the mountain, you will find a few dispersed campsites off the road.

Smooth 2 track with a few small mud holes. Recently the trees and brush had been cut back the entire trail so plenty of space with not much pinstripe potential.

Part of this trail is private property. I didn’t get to explore more due to gas and just finishing Vepco forest road.
