Trail Overview

Williams Hole to the FS 7032 overlook is a fun, scenic climb that’s perfect for a quick off-road outing with a rewarding payoff at the top. The trail starts out as a fairly typical forest service road, hard-packed dirt and gravel, with some washboarding and shallow potholes to keep you paying attention. As you gain elevation, expect a few tighter sections, embedded rocks, and occasional ruts, especially after wet weather. Nothing overly technical in dry conditions, but high-clearance vehicles will be more comfortable as you near the upper sections. The overlook itself opens up to sweeping views of the surrounding Snoqualmie National Forest, well worth the drive. Along the way, keep an eye out for spur roads and pull-offs that invite exploration, many of which lead to quieter viewpoints or deeper forest access. This area is great for linking short side trips together into a half-day adventure. Dispersed camping is available throughout the Snoqualmie National Forest, with several established but unofficial spots along the route. Just be sure to follow Leave No Trace principles. Pay close attention to land ownership boundaries, as nearby areas like Green Canyon Timberlands are private property and not open for camping or public access. Stick to clearly designated public lands to avoid issues and help keep access open for everyone.
