Trail Overview
This forest road is dirt-based and narrow, but widens and turns to gravel as you descend into Echo Valley. The trail is one vehicle wide for the majority of the time, with places to pass. You will encounter ruts and wash under a foot, and many humps/whoops that will lift you out of the seat if taken at speed. There are multiple hairpin turns and switchbacks with high drop-offs and ledges. The northern end of the trail is very steep, but it flattens out around the halfway point. In total, there is over 2,500 feet of elevation change. There are no amenities until you reach Echo Valley, where there are vault toilets and a campground. You are approximately 30 minutes from the nearest supplies and services. Cell phone service was decent around the valley at the bottom, but weak in most areas. As you approach the bottom, there are multiple hiking, biking, and snowmobile trails. Any vehicle type should be able to traverse this trail.
