Trail Overview
This is a dirt-based forest road that climbs over 2,000 feet in elevation over 22-plus miles. The trail starts wide and narrows a bit as you enter the switchbacks. There are multiple switchbacks with ledges, and you will encounter washboard sections and minor ruts/wash. Overall, this is an easy trail suitable for any vehicle type. The trail gradually climbs, offering great views of the mountain peaks and ridges around you, and climbs along the side of Continental Mountain and ends at a closed gate where there is a waterfall. The road doesn't appear to go much further past the closed and locked gate, ending between Continental and Kaniksu Mountain. Camping is allowed along this trail, and there are several dispersed camping sites/pull offs. Cell phone service is nonexistent, and there are no amenities along the trail, so travel prepared, as you are well over an hour from the nearest services and supplies.
