Trail Overview

This trail starts as a double track but quickly becomes a narrow single track. This tight winding single track crosses over a small creek with several steeper sections with rocks and roots, and a couple of very narrow sections with technical obstacles. The trail is less frequently traveled, so low-hanging brush is to be expected. Once at the top, you'll have a beautiful view of Capitol Forest. Be aware that the trail is 2-way traffic, so watch for other riders. Trail is open from May 1st to November 30th for motorized use and is CLOSED the rest of the year.

Difficulty

Steeper sections of technical switchbacks with larger root and rock obstructions. Down trees have been cut with a narrow path, while others are left on the trail as obstacles. There are no optional bypasses on this trail. This will be a challenging trail for beginner-intermediate riders, but fun enough for a more skilled rider. About halfway through the trail, there is an uprooted tree that the trail wraps around. The trail climbs about 800 feet over approximately 1.25 miles, so expect it to be on the hill the majority of the way.
